Chapter two - article one

En Équilibre

This High Jewelry collection plays on the purity of lines, the interplay of volumes, the interaction of colors and the juxtaposition of light and shadow. From simplistic to extravagant and symmetrical to asymmetrical, it’s a collection that invites us to look at things differently and find balance using our own eyes.

Panthère Dentelée — White gold, emeralds, onyx, diamonds

Panthère dentelée

First, there’s the animal. Spotted with onyx, diamonds, and openwork, its body forms a lace-like structure brought to life in three dimensions. Then, the stones: Colombian emeralds, a cascade of faceted beads in varying sizes and weights. Color intensity, fluidity, suppleness - on this iridescent surface, light ignites on every stone.

Tsagaan necklace White gold, onyx, diamonds

Trompe-l’œil Panther

This necklace captures the essence of the snow leopard, one of the most difficult big cats to catch a sighting of. The design is clean and simplistic. With a trompe-l’oeil effect, the interplay of lines reveals the animal’s head. The stylization is based on the interweaving of geometrical motifs set with diamonds and enhanced with onyx, in a Cartier signature chromatic duo. The alternation of full and empty motifs creates an impression of movement mixed with mystery.

Shito necklace Platinum, emeralds, diamonds

Never too much

Everything starts from two drops with 49.37-carat Zambian emeralds, selected for their harmony and elegant volumes. Suspended as asymmetrical pendants, they’re positioned at the beginning and end of a line of emeralds and diamonds. Two pure curves are delicately connected by an X of diamonds and an adjustable clasp set on the back. The refinement of the whole piece relies on the accuracy of the lines.

Panthère orbitale necklace Platinum, coral, amethyst, emeralds, onyx, diamonds

Powerful beauty

Exuding emblematic Cartier attitude, the Panther radiates vitality atop a coral cabochon. This energy comes from the combination of coral and amethyst, which meet in a chromatic clash of density and harmony that spreads around the neck to even the smallest of the beads.

Hyala Necklace Rose gold, colored diamonds, colored sapphires, diamonds

On the skin

Is it lace, a veil or just a light breeze? The work done on the rose gold gives the impression that the colored sapphires and diamonds caress the wearer like a second skin. To add to this beautiful aesthetic, the surprising transparency of the piece reveals a mysterious pear-shaped diamond beneath the hanging 5.71-carat oval-cut diamond. This is the ultimate sophisticated detail for a necklace with such finesse, representing the expertise of the Maison’s artisan jewelers.
