FROM THE ORGANIC TO THE PRECIOUS: AN EXTRAORDINARY MANUFACTURE

WITH ITS NEW JEWELRY MANUFACTURE IN TURIN, CARTIER AIMS TO ACHIEVE TOTAL MASTERY OF TRADITIONAL JEWELRY-MAKING TECHNIQUES AS WELL AS THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES IN THE FIELD, ALL EXECUTED WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR ECO-RESPONSIBILITY. THIS UNIQUE VISION REQUIRED AN EXCEPTIONAL IMPLEMENTATION: WELCOME TO REGIO PARCO.

In January 2023, Cartier opened its doors to an innovative new venture: the Regio Parco eco-responsible production center north of Turin, Italy.

To support its growth and commitment to sustainable development, the Maison needed a new location. Ultimately, Cartier chose a foundry from the 1970s to transform into a flagship site. Work began in April 2021 on the facility, which today houses around 450 employees in an area of 10,500 m2.

POWERED BY RENEWABLE ENERGY

The Alpine hydroelectric power plant located in Santa Maria Maggiore produces vertically integrated energy. Combined with the energy from 3,800 m2 of solar panels on the roof of the facility, it covers the Manufacture’s electricity needs in terms of production, lighting, heating, air conditioning and more.

The efficiency of the project produces more than the energy needed to power Regio Parco and an upcoming manufacture in Valenza. The surplus renewable energy allows the Maison to contribute to clean energy in the area.

Talent development

The Maison has long supported the tradition of passing down savoir-faire over the generations through apprenticeships and training programs. To continue this tradition and secure the future of the Italian jewelry industry, the Cartier Manufacture is committed to training talented young jewelers through the “Officina dei Talenti” initiative, an on-site school that offers full-time teaching with qualified experts.

This program was developed in collaboration with local organizations in Piedmont and at the national level to meet the demand for jewelry training in Italy.

These traditional jewelry crafts go hand in hand with cutting-edge techniques to constantly develop a diverse range of expertise, the richness of which makes it possible both to produce signature collections and to explore new creative and technical endeavors within the field of High Jewelry.

Our new Manufacture is in line with what defines Cartier: seeing beauty where it is found and bringing it to life.

Sustainable construction

From the choice of materials to the recycling of construction waste and the exterior design, the site is set apart by its optimized energy performance and the highest environmental standards  it follows. Every decision reflects this desire to reduce environmental impact, even beyond Cartier’s own operations.

The site was specifically designed and constructed to achieve the highest level of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. This internationally recognized certification aims to distinguish high-quality buildings with top environmental performance while also measuring and reducing the buildings’ environmental impacts throughout their life cycles.

WELL-BEING IN THE WORKPLACE

The Regio Parco site prioritizes its teams’ experience through an inno- vative, responsive, flexible and collab- orative work environment. Modular and digitized workstations, relaxation and socialization areas, air filtration, controlled acoustics, temperature con- trol, ergonomics and an optimized combination of natural and artificial light: everything is designed to ensure employee comfort and well-being.

The site aims to foster a sense of community and a collaborative spirit among teams, both professionally and personally, through an open think tank and spaces dedicated to socialization and communication.
